An Empirical Study on Performance of the Community Social Service Investment Program: Focused on Effects of Intensive Management Program for the Children in Vulnerable Families

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyse the performance of community social service investment program, focusing on the impact of intensive management program on the self-concept of children in vulnerable families. In order to fulfill this purpose, 116 children were selected. A systematic intervention program were provided to them for six months, and then, pre-test/post-test were accomplished for the empirical testing of effects. The result is that intensive management program for the children in vulnerable families have positive effects on their self-concept. Finally, this study suggest directions and tasks for activation of community social service, the importance of its expansion for children, ways to develop appropriate programs for individual and specific needs, and political tasks for the development of social service.
